Jill Elizabeth Nelson: Reluctant Runaway features a feisty museum security expert teamed up with a savvy, intense FBI agent on the trail of a killer cult. It came out in March. This is the second book in the To Catch a Thief series.
The third one is due out in January. Reluctant Smuggler takes our hero and heroine south of the border pitted against a vicious gang.
Anne McDonald: In the opening for Reluctant Runaway, your heroine breaks into a museum. Where did you come up with the idea for that scene, and how difficult was it to write?
Jill Elizabeth Nelson: I love writing my opening capers. Each book starts with one. They are not hard to write. I mix imagination in with my research so I'm not actually showing someone how to commit a crime. Though I think perhaps there are some very feasible methods, so I hope no crooks are reading my books. Lol
writersheep: What helps you keep going with a story, to see it through to the end, keeping it interesting?
Jill Elizabeth Nelson: Sheer, dogged determination under the title of DEADLINE! I'm a goal-oriented person. Sometimes cranking the chapters out is like squeezing one word in front of the other.
