Title: 9 FRUITS ALIVE: Discover the Fruit of the Spirit
Author: Mindy MacDonald
Illustrator: David Austin Clar

Publisher: Multnomah Publishers, Inc.
ISBN: 1-59052-383-0

Genre: Biblical/Children's Nonfiction

Told in a sing-song rhythm, 9 Fruits Alive - Discover the Fruit of the
Spirit
teaches children the fruits of the spirit :Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness and Gentleness, with brightly colored illustrations and a hard plastic 'real' fruit for each spiritual one. (Example: Gentleness is a bunch of bananas).

The books hard-cover has a tree on the front with cut outs where all the real fruit shows through, making this a book that is unusual and draws the child to it.

In addition to the catchy rhyme, at the end, an illustration of a very
joyful Jesus surrounded by happy contemporary children and a little 'lesson' on the facing page, makes this book a gentle teaching tool for your child's spiritual growth.

The book was an instant hit with two-year-old Jacob, while his older brother four-year-old Caleb took to the other book in the series Jesus and the 12 Dudes Who Did.
