Title: Andrea Carter and the Dangerous Decision Author: Susan K. Marlow Publisher: Kregel Publications ISBN: 978-0-8254-3357-3 Genre: Inspirational/Juvenile/Historical/Fiction
When Andrea is challenged to a horse race with her friend and school mate, Cory, she is quick to take the dare. The race is going well, with few mishaps, until they are on their way back into town, then Andrea is unfortunate enough to run into their new school master, the school year is doomed.
Since Andrea’s mother insists Andrea attend school in spite of her bad introduction to the new teacher, Andrea is soon thrown into a new life-threatening adventure when an escaped prisoner forces his way into the classroom. Should Andrea try to save a classmate, possibly losing her own life?
Andrea Carter and the Dangerous Decision is the second book in the Circle C Adventures series, but it easily stands alone. I love all the adventures that this independent young girl finds herself in.
Tweener girls will be sure to relate to Andrea, even if this is a historical fiction. My eleven-year-old daughter was completely fascinated by Andi’s adventures, and loved both of the books in this series so far. This is a good wholesome book for young girls to read, and it emphasizes good characteristics for even modern young ladies to follow. I highly recommend Andrea Carter and the Dangerous Decision. $7.99. 139 pages.
