Nancy Arant Williams’ three stories grab a reader in the  heart. “Compelling  Reasons” introduces Britt Daily who learns her husband was injured in a  construction accident. Distraught, Britt arrives at the hospital to discover the  patient is not Kyle. However, she cannot reveal her joy because his life truly  is in danger. Britt enters a nightmare of intrigue with her family at its  center. Only the Lord can give her the strength to cope.

Kate Wheeler is widowed in the second story, “Beauty for Ashes.”  Williams deals with the raw grief of a young widow in a compelling manner. From financial issues to family discord, we walk with Kate as her unbalanced world struggles on its axis. A concerned doctor befriends her, and she learns the Lord does give second chances in life.

What happens when the people you know aren’t who you think they are? Reagan Gallagher has worked in a law firm for several years. When her best  friend mysteriously hands her a key to safeguard and he is killed, she finds herself drawn into a web of deceit. She is  to be the next victim. “Bluebells  in Winter” is a fast paced story of a lonely woman who meets a knight in shining armor.

Williams has woven her stories realistically and sprinkled them  with scripture revealing God’s truths. Williams writes, “God is able to make  something beautiful from [pain] if we can own it, then let Him heal it.” I think  Nancy is right on target.
