Title: Being A Wild, Wonderful Woman for God Author: Becky Tirabassi Publisher: Zondervan Publishing House ISBN: 0-310-442250-8 Genre: Inspirational/Nonfiction
Do you recognize this woman?
She is full of both strength and honest vulnerability. She has a dynamic faith but doesn’t hide from the serious questions of her generation. She is a leader who longs for a mentor. She is an idealist and a realist at the same time. (from the back cover)
The modern woman no longer is a radical feminist, nor is she an ultraconservative. Most often, she is a wife and a mother, and has been married at least once. Struggles to balance home, family, fitness, faith, and work consume her time. And usually, she bears emotional scars from sexual abuse, alcoholism, or drug addiction.
In Being A Wild, Wonderful Woman for God Ms. Tirabassi addresses these issues and shares how she healed from the wounds of growing up in a dysfunctional home and living for the wrong kind of love. She also shares how to move past the stereotypical Christian woman, to Being A Wild, Wonderful Woman for God.
I found this book written in a conversational style, rather like a friend sharing with you over a cup of coffee. It is very easy to read, even if you are familiar with the types of dysfunctional homes or not. I recommend this book for anyone who ministers to women, or in a church library. 134 pages.
