Friends of Ed Slone set fire to Marshall Dusty McIntyre’s house as a distraction, so they could stage a jailbreak. Unfortunately, Dusty’s wife, Emily, died in the fire. Dusty resigned from his job and set out after the band of criminals, determined to bring them to justice.

Katie Hoffman is a widow, pregnant, and trying to save her ranch when she meets handsome Allen King. When he proposes marriage she accepts, thinking her troubles are over. Then right in the middle of the wedding ceremony, the front door bursts open and a stranger, holding a pistol enters and he’s after Katie’s groom.

Allen King is really Ed Slone and Dusty has met up with him at last. In the ruckus, someone overturns a lamp and sets fire to the ranch house. Katie is trapped in the fire and Dusty saves her life. With Slone back in jail, Dusty offers to take Katie to Guthrie where she has family.

The Bounty Hunter and the Bride is a rollicking tale about a city marshall and a woman who can’t seem to stay out of trouble. It takes a while, but Katie and Dusty finally learn when you’ve lost everything, life has just cleared a spot for God to build.
