“All through the Bible, from cover to cover, we are encouraged to be joyful. I believe joy does much more than make us feel good; it strengthens our witness and improves our countenance, our health, and our quality of life….But this is not just a book about happiness, joy, or health; it is about strength. The joy of the Lord is our strength; it is our power to win….”

Inside the cover of Seven Things That Steal Your Joy, Joyce Meyer teaches us to remember that God has made us exactly the way he wants us. She teaches us how to recognize the beautiful life God has planned specially for us.

We also learn how to relax and let God guide you to the answers. How to hear His voice cut through life’s confusion—and how to learn to take time to smell the roses.

She teaches us how to let God do His job in creating our future, while we follow His path through prayer. All this and more are taught inside Seven Things That Steal Your Joy

I found Seven Things That Steal Your Joy real easy to read and get into. The writing style is communicative, even though it is educational, so the reader doesn’t feel talked down to, but rather an equal, like discussing things with a friend. Being in a time of waiting doesn’t mean God has forgotten you, but rather that He is working things out in His own time. It is good to be reminded of these things, especially sometimes when it seems that we are five million down on God’s to-do list and He’ll never get to answering our prayers.

I highly recommend Seven Things That Steal Your Joy if you are in a period of waiting, or if you feel you must work constantly and can’t enjoy life. If you have an anger management problem this issue is also addressed in this book. Pick up Seven Things That Steal Your Joy today. You will want to keep this book on your reference shelf, and I think it would be a wonderful addition to any church library.
