Title: Seventy Times Seven Author: Brandt Dodson Publisher: Harvest House ISBN: 0-7369-1810-8 Genre: Inspirational/Suspense
Colton Parker, private investigator, has a struggling business, and a troubled daughter. Money isn’t a problem, because he doesn’t have any, but he does have a new case.
Lester Cheek, on the other hand, who had the nickname of Cheek the Geek in high school, has a beautiful home, a thriving business and a missing wife. When Lester asks Colton to find Claudia, his wife, all signs suggest that she chose to leave. Then her car is found abandoned, with bloodstains in the trunk, and it looks like something happened to her. While everyone likes Claudia, her husband’s list of enemies is long enough to keep Colton busy for some time, a luxury he doesn’t have.
Callie, Colton’s daughter, is slipping farther away from him. He wants to be there for her, but he’s locked into a race against time to find an international cold-blooded hit man and stop a murder for hire.
Brandt Dodson’s Seventy Times Seven is a fast moving story packed with lots of intrigue. Colton Parker is smart, tough, and as mean as he needs to be. If you buy books for Christmas gifts, this one would be good for the men on your list. Women will enjoy it too. I’m a Colton Parker fan, and this one kept me up way past my bedtime. If you like a good mystery with a tight plot and pulse racing suspense, Seventy Times Seven is a must. |
