    Ellie Schroder
About Eloise Schroder, Webmaster of The Christian Fiction Site:
Ellie has loved Christian fiction for many years, after being introduced to it back in 1990. She developed "The Christian Fiction Site" back in 1998 under the former title "Ellie's World of Christian Fiction" after seeing the need for an online resource site for readers to become more familiar with Christian fiction titles on the market. Since then, she has maintained the site in her own spare time, as well as juggling a full-time job with GPH Wholesale, a distributor of Christian literature, and being part of the worship team in her local church. Ellie lives in Palmerston North, New Zealand, with Dion, her husband of more than 10 years.

    . . .Abram's Daughters . . .

    By Beverly Lewis

Spanning three generations, the compelling novels of the Abram's Daughters series feature five courting-age sisters, their extended family, and their quaint Old Order community, whose way of life and faith in God are as enduring as their signature horse and buggy. Or so it seems...

#1: The Covenant (2002) Bethany House Publishers
Years of secrecy bind the folks of Gobbler's Knob together---but now it threatens to split families apart. When Sadie loses her innocence to a handsome English boy, she draws her sister into a pact that sends Leah's own dreams spinning out of control. A powerful portrait of God's promises and the miracle of hope.
#2: The Betrayal (2003) Bethany House Publishers
Separation is never easy when you're in love, yet Leah and her "intended," Jonas, believe their feelings for one another are strong enough to survive their time apart when he accepts a carpenter's apprenticeship in Ohio. But how could they ever have foreseen The Betrayal to come? A dramatic tale of forgiveness and hope, the second book in Beverly Lewis's Abram's Daughters series will capture your heart!
#3: The Sacrifice (2004) Bethany House Publishers
Life in Gobbler's Knob was all Leah Ebersol ever wanted until her older sister Sadie abandoned faith and family, leaving Leah no choice but to believe the worst, that Sadie--and her own beloved Jonas--had betrayed her. Now, two years later, Leah still misses both Sadie and Jonas keenly. Because of her sister's shunning, she cannot contact either of them but hears through the grapevine that they are married. Loyal neighbor Gid is still biding his time, but on the verge of accepting his courting invitation, tragedy befalls the Ebersols and Leah must again choose between her own happiness and her family. Mary Ruth dreams of becoming a teacher, but it has gotten pushed to the back of her thinking when a nice young Amish boy comes courting. Twin Hannah yearns for her sister to attend baptismal classes with her, but Mary Ruth is not ready to take her final vows. How will this family in turmoil find peace?
#4: The Prodigal (2004) Bethany House Publishers
Leah has endured the ultimate test of her fortitude, the unexpected return of her shunned sister, Sadie, and the renewed sense of betrayal that arrives home with her. Leah has occupied her heart and hands with the overseeing of the Ebersol Cottage and the raising of her motherless younger siblings. This includes vivacious Lydiann, who has arrived at the traditional "rumschpringe," the time for testing her wings and her willingness to commit to the Old Ways. Will she take the sorrowful path of her older sister, Sadie, or will Mamma Leah's good judgement guide Lydiann safely to her baptismal covenant?
#5: The Revelation (2005) Bethany House Publishers
In this suspenseful conclusion to the series, readers will thrill to another gripping story with Lewis's trademark captivating twists and turns, and startling answers to the compelling questions set into motion in the first book, The Covenant.
