  • September 18-23, 3036: End of Summer Fair - Whisker Valley, Double O Ranch - The annual End of Summer Fair is here again! Among the many activities are a series of bake-offs, livestock and produce competitions, numerous relay races, and carnival rides and games! Admission is free of charge, but tickets for the games and rides cost 10 cents each, or $5.00 for a roll of 50. Call 555-6281 for more information, and for instuctions on how to get to the ranch.
  • September 20, 3036, 6:00 PM to 11:30 PM: Ugly Bug Ball - Arthropodia Convention Center - Ugly bugs from all over Animalia are invited to the annual Ugly Bug Ball. A buffet, foot-tapping music, and a raffle! Don't miss it!
  • September 29th, 3036: National Farmer's Market Weekend - Badgerville Fairgrounds, Whisker Valley Fairgrounds - Farmers from all over Animalia will be gathered for the National Farmer's Market Weekend, as they sell the best of their autumn crop. Forget the grocry store produce section this weekend, and come to the Farmer's Market.

  • Badgerville - An otter reported that his credit card had been stolen, and recently was found to be used on the Fire Islands. Police are investigating.
  • Whiskerville - A female peacock discovered that over the night, her garden flamingos had disappeared.
  • Moleville - A mole reported that he accidentally left his PDA, coat, and tie on a table at a restaurant and went home. When he realized his mistake and returned, he found that the items had been removed.
  • Cattown - Someone reportadly threw several stones at an elderly lady's car, breaking the rear window and denting the back of the car.
  • Arthropodia - Witnesses say that a group of teenaged cockroaches were deflating car tires in the parking lot in front of the Ugly Bug Mall.
  • Ottercove - An unidentified otter dressed as a jaintor was arrested for stealing live crabs from a local Sea Port Restaurant.
  • Rabbittown - A DFX truck loaded with over $80,000 worth of packages was hijacked from in front of a residential home. The truck was found empty 30 miles away. Police are searching the truck for evidence.

  • Birdtown - A canary resident got "into" his food, and his beak became encrusted with corn. Mouse rescue workers had to use water to loosen the corn and pick it off.
  • Badgerville - Another elephant got his trunk knotted when sneezing. Rescue workers were able to untie it in time.
  • Dragonlair - A penguin skier got caught in an avalanche. He was found a few hours later by a search and rescue team.

Feline's Friend - After a recent opinion article critisizing the product, Feline's Friend cat food has become the worst selling pet product in history. Sales have gone from the 2,000,000 range is sales per week to around 100 to 150 a week nationally. Most stores have ceased carrying the product altogether, and Feline's Friend is considering filing bankruptsy, and refunding all shareholders the money they paid for shares in the company. They were consdering sueing the author of the opinion article, but didn't have enough money left for court fees.

 

Cedar Heights Seafood Co. - The fishing and seafood industry is really taking off. This month, Cedar Heights Seafood Co. went from "pretty good" to off the charts. Sell now while the stocks are still worth it! Who knows if this rise in sales is because of all the festivals, or because a lot of people suddenly like seafood.

 

Scale Polish - Apparently, the scale polish industry isn't as good as we had hoped. Sales are down to the middle mark. Don't buy, don't sell, just hang in there!
