Angry Bugs Protest Stinkbug Convention

Bugville- Citizens of Bugville are outraged that the NSBC (National Stinkbug Convention) is being held in their town this year. Today, they formed a protest in front of the Bugville Convention Center, demanding that all stink bugs go home and the convention be cancelled.

Tessie Termite, a long time resident of Bugville led the protesters in their march. "It's not so much that all stink bugs are destructive, we just don't want to take the risk of them practicing new stinking methods in our neighbor- hoods. Couldn't they stink up their own town?"

"I am deeply distressed to learn that the stink bugs are invading Bugville instead of staying in Stench City." said Major M. Moth, conductor of the Peppered Moth Orchestra. "If I had known we would have to share the convention center with NSBC, we would have rescheduled our concert for another date. Concert patrons will be forced to use gas masks to get to the Music Hall or simply choke from the smell."

Charlie Centileg, owner and manager of the Bugville Convention Center told reporters that Major Moth is over-reacting. "There will be no inconvience to the concert goes since the Music Hall on the opposite side of the convention center with its own parking lot. The convention center is open to any Animalia citizens I'm not going to discriminate against stink bugs"

NSBC manager, P. U. Somethingsmells says stinkbugs are not out to make trouble. "Our conference theme this year is 'Controlling Your Stench'. We are working on improving our relationships with our neighbors. We have no intention of stinking up the town or anywhere else."

When asked why Bugville was selected for the conference, Somethingsmells replied, "Bugville is the mid-way point for stink bugs throughout Animalia. We simply wanted to make the conference accessible to anyone who wants to attend."

Stinky Scentworth of Arthropodia is excited about the upcoming event. "I've always wanted to go to the NSBC, but didn't have any means of getting to Stench City. Since Bugville is only a few miles from where I live, I'll be able to go."
